Testimonials I stayed 2 nights at Dunvegan, excellent location on the waterfront, walking distance to the ferry terminal, supermarkets, bars and restaurants around. The ladies were very friendly, cosy bedroom, confy bed, nice offer for breakfast. Unfortunately not entirely soundproof, I could hear everything happening in the corridor, and sometimes in other rooms. By Cecile Benedict
Brilliant stay, lovely welcoming staff, clean and tidy rooms, good breakfasts, can't wait to return By Jenny Dryden
Exelent place and sea view nice people I recommend it for staying in By Harry Turnbull
We are always assured of a lovely welcome, rooms spotless and a well cooked breakfast. The hotel has views of Brodick Bay By Eleanor Hannacher
Very kind landlady. By Marta Palomares
A wee bit dated The guest house is nice but very dated. The rooms look really worn. Also our mattress was terrible, hard as a rock. Breakfast and the sweet irish lady who took care of us was wonderful. Location is great too.
Home for Arran stay Very comfortable place in a convenient location with a view on Brodick Bay. We spend there two nights. Breakfast was included in price and had a nice selection of choice. I was a bit worried regarding to the vegetarian option as in description was full Scottish breakfast but there was no problem at all. Nice stay overall. By Vera Cloe Zebrowska
Dr This charming guest house is centrally situated along the sea front of Brodick, so it is ideally situated for anyone on the Arran coastal walk. The challenge of Goat Fell can easily be seen from the front windows, while all the facilities of Brodick are all close by. The welcome was warm and the breakfast was excellent. By John L
Amazing Guest House Absolutely loved staying at Dunvegan House at the start and end of our time on Arran! Exceptionally comfortable rooms and spaces, awesome location with beautiful views, and great food for breakfast. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond (even offering to do a load of laundry for us so we didn't have to pay elsewhere). If you are in Brodick and you have the opportunity, stay here! Great views Stayed for one night with my husband. Staff very friendly and couldnt do enough to help. Room very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. View from the room was beautiful. Highly recommend Dunvegan Guest House.
Friendly and homely guest house with views to take your breath away I stayed here as part of a Walking Womens holiday for a week in May. The guest house is just a few minutes walk from the ferry terminal in Brodick. Rooms were spacious, clean and warm. Breakfast was wonderful, and plentiful, and definitely set me up for walking each day. The view form my bedroom window was stunning, and could my breath away each time I drew back the curtains. Helen, the proprietor is super friendly and a great host and I will definitely return.
Great location, no so enthusiastic reception Stayed here for two nights. the house is a quaint home with typical period creaks and noised expected. All of which add to the charm. There are great views of the bay from the front rooms upstairs and down. Parking could be a bit of a challenge if the house is full, but there is free parking right across the street. The Full English Breakfast is more than enough to get you going for most of the day. The staff, is the only place I had a challenge. We have stayed at many locations and have always found the innkeepers to be outgoing, helpful and friendly. Be prepared for an indifferent reception and just roll with it.
Loved it I had a great 8 night stay here. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were super friendly, i was provided with an iron and ironing board when I requested one. En suite Room was perfect with stunning views from the window. I would highly recommend staying here. Thanks a lot.
Always welcome! I've stayed here a few times through work, and always look forward to it. On previous visits, I've mentioned that I would prefer a mug, rather than the wee cups you get in your room. Booked in today & was handed a mug. Great service & the breakfast is Superb
Great breakfasts! Very nice clean bedrooms and en suites, a warm welcome and very attentive staff, front bedrooms and dining room have lovely views too. The breakfast menu is very good and the food itself was perfect for a day hiking up Goatfell! Very happy with the stay and would definitely use again.
Quick trip to Arran Lovely warm welcome when we arrived for our last minute booking for 1 night, immaculately clean, comfortable bed, great view over the bay, USB ports with sockets, tea and coffee tray with biscuits!! Good recommendation for where to eat in the evening. Great full breakfast - thanks for a lovely stay!
great little B&B Stayed here for a night after hiking Goatfell and found it was the perfect place. Rooms comfortable, nice hot shower, great location, big delicious breakfast and kind accommodating host. Would definitely recommend!!
Last minute panic turned out so very well! Ferry cancellation from Islay meant connections jiggered and an unscheduled stop on Arran. It might have been a panic buy, but by golly it was a happy accident... our hostess was so helpful, friendly and, forgive the pun, accommodating and flexible. So kind and at such short notice. The views over Brodick Bay (another time I shall stay longer...) is gorgeous, rooms are, I am guessing, fairly newly refurbed, and very comfortable. We didn't get chance to experience the full Scottish breakfast but judging by what we had, very early - lovely fruit salad, yogurt, fruit coffee - and it was entirely our choice not to have a cooked full because for us, us it was just too early! - it would be great. Everything prepared with care...
I loved staying here I stayed here on a walking holiday and it was perfect. It is easy to find off the ferry and I had a superb view from my bedroom window of Goat Fell and Brodick Bay. It really made my holiday. My bedroom was spotlessly clean and comfortable - perfect after a day's walking. I ate both breakfast and dinner here and loved the food. I'd especially recommend the full Scottish breakfast, kippers and pear and Ailton salad. All delicious. I'm looking forward to coming back one day.
Great break Stayed for two nights with a friend. Had bedroom on the ground floor with a super view of the bay and Goat Fell. Very comfortable (although bed a bit hard for me!) with kettle for tea and coffee and quick heater when it got a bit cold. Breakfast excellent with plenty of choices and good coffee! Helen very helpful with any information we needed. Would recommend.
Great Place to stay Stayed here beginning of August for 4 nights. Friend and myself had two single rooms (although lovely double beds). Home from home, Helen the owner extremely welcoming and friendly, breakfasts were superb and she was so attentive to your needs, nothing was a bother. Rooms spacious and comfy, excellent en-suite and clean towels every day. Will definitely be back next year.
Lovely guesthouse We stayed here on the first and last of nine nights on Arran. Great location so handy for the ferry and lovely views of the sea and Goatfell. A lovely warm welcome from a happy owner. Both rooms we had were nice, clean and well stocked tea tray and toiletries. Wifi was fine and breakfast great. We would happily stay here again.
Great Location with great views Was away for a weekend golfing with 10 others, the Guest house staff are very welcoming. I had a room upstairs with a view of the shorefront and views across the bay to Brodick Castle and the ferryport, The Dunvegan is close to the CO-OP supermarket and also a short walk to pubs. The room was clean and tidy with an on suite shower room. Breakfast was great with a choice of cereals, fruit juice, fruit and the full fried breakfast. We have been going there for a number of years now and have enjoyed being there.
Lovely B&B I stayed here in June for 2 nights. A very friendly welcome. The room was quite small but well appointed and spotlessly clean.Have the full Scottish breakfast - delicious. I would certainly recommend staying here. Also close to nice eating places
Comfortable and quiet! I just recently stayed here and found everything to be just fine. I was in the single room #5 with en suite. The room was a single however it had a nice size double bed and plenty of space. It was very quiet a night. Tea and coffee in room was provided and nice biscuits refreshed every day. Helen was very nice and breakfast good!
Very welcoming and comfortable guest hiuse Stayed with friends during climbing weekend. Owner Helen was tremendous. Great breakfasts. Room and guest house spotlessly clean. Only two minutes' drive from ferry terminal and near to shops, restaurants etc.
Excellent B & B This is what a good B & B should be. Helen (the owner) made booking so easy. She gave us such a warm welcome when we arrived and nothing was too much trouble. We had a most enjoyable evening meal - good home cooking. Our room overlooking Brodick Bay was comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was also good with plenty of choice of cereals, fruit etc. Helen is the most welcoming host who seems to want nothing more than for her guests to enjoy their stay and she certainly succeeds. She could teach more expensive establishments a thing or two !!
Lovely B and B. Love quaint B and B, spotlessly clean, warm welcome, good food and plenty of it. Room clean, warm, small touches like shampoo and shower gel available. Lovely view over to ferry terminal. Can recommend this place. Internet only available downstairs.
Just lovely Stayed here 1st April a last minute booking for 1 night. Room 4. What a view, pictures from room 4. fabulous. Great welcome fabulous breakfast beautifully cooked. We had a great nights sleep even with windows open right on the front was so quiet. Will definitely stay here again. Just loved it.
Lovely little place with great hosts and scrummy breakfast... Having stayed at Auchrannie before I decided to book last minute at a b&b for a change of scene and so glad we did. We are planning a new trip pretty soon. The place is really dated but i think thats what adds to the experience as we normally stay in really modern hotels and this was just so quaint. The hosts were really helpful and we both really enjoyed the breakfast with an amazing view. Looking forward to a return visit with out family and dog!
